This is two days of events associated with the Leonardo's Machines
Exhibition, and features creative arts, a fiesta, and a Birdman competition,
all at Frank Kitts Park and Queen's Wharf, on Saturday 17
& Sunday 18 January 2009, Wellington Anniversary weekend,
11am-5pm both days.
If poor weather, each event will be postponed to the following day.
Postponements on 384-1998 from 7am on that day.
Saturday 17 Jan is the Arts Cafe,
a chance for painters, musicians, and all sorts of creative artists
to demonstrate their art. There will be food stalls, and especially
there will be coffee, and seating areas
for the public, so its a day for everyone to relax and enjoy our creative
community! All forms of artists are invited to participate; and artist
participation is free. Food stalls are also encouraged
to apply. There will be NO commercial market stalls; all goods displayed
or sold must be created by the stallholder.

Sunday 18 Jan is the Birdman Flying Family
Fiesta, with a birdman competition off the wharf, public
participation in building of Leonardo's machines under the sails,
and a variety of related exhibition activities. Frank Kitts
Park will host a Fiesta, with a music concert
stage, childrens rides and activities, displays, and food
and market stalls.
